What will the Benefits Service do for landlords?
- Pay Housing Benefit, within 14 days of receiving all information needed
- Make payments every 4 weeks, in arrears, as long as the tenant is entitled
- Notify a landlord, promptly, if there has been an overpayment
- Advise the landlord if the tenant has asked for direct payments to stop
- Discuss the tenant's claim, if the tenant gives written permission for us to do so.
