Club and coaches in Charnwood are set to benefit from a free event organised by Charnwood’s Local Sports Alliance, the Charnwood Sport and Active Recreation Alliance (CSARA).
The Club and Coaches Evening on Monday 25th September 2006 6.30pm – 9.00pm at Loughborough University (Sir John Beckwith Building) is the first of its kind in Charnwood and promises to attract all those involved in sport across the borough.
The evening which is dedicated to all those who are aspiring coaches, those who are already coaching, and any proactive clubs will see the launch of Charnwoods 2006/ 2007 Coach Education Programme, Coachsteps where attendees will be offered priority places on all coaching courses. The event also offers the opportunity to attend a range of valuable workshops including how to incorporate FUNdamentals into your coaching, advice and information on club mark accreditation, funding, and support for your club.
Chris Earle, CSARA Chair said “coaches, sports leaders and clubs play a fundamental role in the development and provision of sport in Charnwood. The club and coaches evening will provide a fantastic opportunity for local coaches and clubs to not only receive updates on the latest coaching and sport developments in the borough, but to also have the chance to win a £250 voucher for sports equipment, an opportunity not to be missed!”
The evening starts at 6.30pm for refreshments and participants will be able to take advantage of all the exhibitors including Leicestershire and Rutland County Sports Partnership, National Governing Bodies of Sport, Davies Sport, and Coachsteps.
