Shops on Park Road

The shops look awful, the building is deteriorating, and they are the focus for antisocial behaviour. Something has to be done.

Local residents have been complaining about the state of the shops for years.

Councillors from the two wards affected, together with Officers and Police representatives met on January 5th. The matter is in hand and further action will be notified before long.

This photograph shows that water has penetrated to the reinforcing bars, which are rusting, forcing the concrete to break away. The building may already be structurally unsafe.
