Student Parking Update

Double yellow lines have now been painted on the corner of Outwoods Drive and Forest Road. Residents are pleased, but are still campaigning for control of long term parking.

For many years students have used Outwoods Drive and Holt Drive as an alternative to the University car parks.

Car parking in residential roads is free, the University charges £120 a year.

It is not surprising that students use these roads for car storage, but it is a serious nuisance to residents.

Fortunately the County Council is now well aware of the problem and is considering the options and will be consulting with residents.
