Upadte Christmas 2007
I am pleased to report that progress on The Eastern Gateway Regeneration Site is progressing albeit not as fast as we would all like . Network Rail is a a very large organisation to deal with and a final deal to get the development we all hope for is still being negotiated. Funding for initial work on The Windmill Road site in Hastings ward is now in place and we can look forward to some work commencing there in 2008. Progress on the Borough's Regeneration programme was never going to be fast or easy. I am pleased to tell you though that the Town Masterplan for Loughborough has now been published and circulated to interested parties, stake holders and developers.We have had outside responses from interested parties already. Hi all, Today I've gone green. As a councillor , not surprisingly I receive many messages about the importance of going green. Like most things in life I find it easier to change my behaviour when there is a financial incentive. Water butts are an obvious example where for comparatively little money we can start saving lots of water for use on our gardens. I have just purchased 5 water butts that should be adequate to keep my garden watered throughout summer. After speaking with Severn Trent I..
