Council Tax is payable over 10 instalments in a full financial year, normally payable from April to January. Arrangements can be made to pay by one annual instalment or two half-yearly instalments.
Payment may be made by Direct Debit from a bank account, by cash or cheque using an instalment booklet, by telephone or online using a debit or credit card.
Direct Debit is the Council's preferred method of payment for Council Tax. Almost 40,000 Council Tax accounts are now paid by Direct Debit in Charnwood.
