The Council Leader

The Council Leader is a member of the Cabinet and chairs its meetings. The Leader plays a key role in developing policies, making spending plans and establishing priorities for Council action. In considering such matters, the leader will work closely with other councillors and senior staff. The Leader is supported by a Deputy Leader.
