We are currently working to improve our overall environmental performance through new approaches to recycling waste, improving our planning processes, protecting biodiversity and landscape, conserving local heritage and ensuring a healthy and safe environment. These are vital parts of our wider aim of a more sustainable environment, balancing the need for places to live and work with the need to minimise impact on our countryside, heritage, wildlife and natural resources.
