Charnwood 2021 - Key Documents

• Local Development Scheme- the timetable for producing the documents that will go into 2021. The scheme tells you when documents will be produced and when you can expect to get involved.
• Charnwood 2021 Core Strategy DPD- sets out our long term vision for the Borough and key strategic policies to help deliver this vision.
• Science Park DPD- identifies a site for a new Science Park in Loughborough.
• Allocations DPD - will identify other sites for new homes, jobs, shopping, leisure and other facilities.

• General Policies for Development Control DPD
• Statement of Community Involvement- outlines how we will involve the local community and other key partners as we put together Charnwood 2021.
• Supplementary Planning Documents- to provide more detail to supplement policies in the Borough of Charnwood Local Plan or Development Plan Documents.

Monitoring is the key to the successful development of the evidence base supporting the production of the Local Development Framework.

Sustainability Appraisal is an integral part of plan making. Sustainability Appraisal helps planning authorities to fulfil the objective of contributing to the achievement of sustainable development. Each DPD and SPD will have a sustainability appraisal report.
