Who are we?
We are a small team of experienced Municipal Engineers and Technical staff within Environmental Services set up to manage the main engineering and technical functions of the Council.
Central government funds approximately 85% of the Land Drainage revenue budget.
What do we do?
Engineering manages the main engineering and technical functions of the Council, which includes:
- Mainly discretionary improvement and maintenance work associated with Land Drainage across the Borough
- CCTV within Loughborough and Syston town centres
- Bus Shelters within the Loughborough town boundary
- the statutory provision and maintenance of Street Nameplates across the Borough
- actively promote the use of Sustainable Drainage within the Borough through partnerships with developers and builders
