The Local Development Scheme is the timetable for producing the documents that will go into Charnwood 2026, the Local Development Framework. The scheme tells you when documents will be produced and when you can expect to get involved.
We are currently reviewing our timetable and plan to publish an informal version of the Local Development Scheme by the end of the year to show how we are progressing with documents.
Local Development Scheme
The current Local Development Scheme was consider by Cabinet in January 2007 (click here to view the report) and approved by the Government Office for the East Midlands in February 2007 and was effective from the 23rd February 2007. It sets out:
- the local development documents that the Borough Council will prepare and the timetable for their preparation;
- the policies the Council will save from the existing Borough of Charnwood Local Plan; and
- a timetable for preparing the Statement of Community Involvement.
