EVENT AIMS TO TACKLE DISCRIMINATION

THE provision of support and consultation for people who suffer or are concerned about discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, faith, gender, race or sexuality will be discussed at a special meeting.

The Equalities Together in Charnwood Event, which has been jointly arranged by Voluntary Action Charnwood and Charnwood Borough Council, takes place on Wednesday, 15th August between 10am and 3pm at Loughborough University.
The event will be chaired by Richard Chester, Charnwood Borough Council’s Director of Change Management, and there will be a number of key speakers.
Cllr Peter Lewis, Charnwood Borough Council’s Community Cohesion and Equalities Champion, said: “This is an opportunity to talk together to influence and manage change.

“All different, all equal is the message for the day - let’s ensure it becomes our policy.”
