GRANTS

The Grants Team deals with all claims for grant assistance relating to owner occupied or private tenanted accommodation.

In April 2004 a new policy was adopted to provide assistance to owners of houses in the private sector.

Whilst Disabled Facilities Grants are mandatory, other grants are awarded at the discretion of the Council and are subject to budget constraints and certain qualifying criteria and conditions.

What Grants are availiable ?

• Disabled Facilties Grants
• Renovation Grants
• Home Repair Assistance Grants

Two more grants became available in June 2006 and are still available from 1st April 2007:

• Warmfront Hardship Grant
• Home Safety Grant
