Active England - Cobden Project

This project initially came about following a successful Active England funding application. The bid included the building of a multi use games area at Cobden Primary School and the creation of a Community Physical Activity Development Officer to develop physical activity opportunities in the area.

Helen Smith is the Community Physical Activity Development Officer for Cobden Primary Primary School. She is responsible for the development and delivery of a coordinated physical activity programme for young people predominately aged 5-11 years, their families and the wider community across the Hastings and Lemyngton wards in Loughborough.

She works in partnership with Cobden Primary school to ensure that the multi use games area is fully utilised during after school hours and weekends by community groups.
