Councillors Talk Back Session Set up Shop at Syston

Date of Release: Thu 23rd March, 2006

As part of Charnwood Borough Council’s commitment to listening to the news and views of residents from right across the Borough, the third ‘Talk Back’ session will be held at Syston Community Centre, School Street, Syston on Wednesday 29 March from 7.15pm.

The sessions, which have been declared a huge success, are designed to give residents an opportunity to discuss issues with leading councillors and senior officials from the Council. A Question and Answer session will also give the public a chance to raise any matters of concern relating to the Borough.

Leader and Deputy Leader of Council, Councillors Max Hunt and John Bryant, will be attending the session along with Dave Hankin, Director of Planning.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Max Hunt, said: “I hope that as many people come as possible. These events have been very successful so far and demonstrate the Council really does want to listen to what everyone has to say – brick, bats or bouquets!

“Leaflets and information have been sent to all Parish councils in the area to promote the event and we will be welcoming questions on any of Charnwood's services from bins and recycling to sports and leisure. Residents will also hear of plans being debated in Government for a shake up in local government in Leicestershire."

Refreshments will be provided and all residents are welcome to attend. For more information, contact (01509) 634 989.
