Late Night Shopping Is On!

Late Night Shopping is very much part of its “12 Days of Christmas” Festive Programme this year.
The Loughborough Town Centre Partnership has confirmed that Late Night Shopping is very much part of its “12 Days of Christmas” Festive Programme this year.
Once again there will be late night shopping at Carillon Court on each of the Fridays in December leading up to the big day. Carillon Centre Manager Baljit Kooner said “We will also be offering free parking in the Centre after 5.30 pm on those Fridays as well as on weekdays and Sundays”. Other shops that have confirmed they are taking part are Topshop, Wilkinsons, Primark, Tylers, QS, Boots, Sainsbury’s, and Cash Converters.
Chair of the Loughborough Town Centre Partnership, Adrian McInnes said “We are concentrating our main events on the four Sundays leading up to Christmas, but there are many other events and attractions on other days including Friday late night shopping which is being supported by Carillon Court and many other retailers”.
The exciting programme kicks off on Sunday 30th November with the big Christmas Lights Switch on with Peppa Pig and George, hosted by BBC Radio Leicester. The full list of events is:
- Sunday 30th November – Christmas Lights Switch On at 5pm with a Stage show from 1pm including the final of Charnwood’s Got Xmas Talent.
- Friday 5th December –Bric-a-brac market (day only) followed by Late Night Shopping
- Sunday 7th December – Santa Fun Run, Stage Show & Live Entertainment in Loughborough Market Place 11am-1pm and Noddy at Carillon Court
- Wednesday 10th December – Farmers Market
- Friday 12th December – French and Craft Market (all day) and last bric-a-brac market before Christmas (until 2.30pm). Afternoon Stage show, Mayor’s Carol Concert, Late Night Shopping,
- Sunday 14th December – Cultural Day, Sponge Bob and Square Pants at Carillon Court
- Thursday 18th December – Market Day with Christmas Competition and Activities
- Friday 19th December – Late Night Shopping
- Saturday 20th December – Extra Market with Christmas Competition and Entertainment
- Sunday 21st December – Christmas is Coming, festive entertainment, Best Dressed Shop, Angelina Ballerina at Carillon Court.
- Monday 22nd December – Additional Market
- Wednesday 24th December – Additional Market
There will be free parking at the Carillon Centre car park after 5.30 pm on Weekdays and Sundays and free parking in Council car parks (except Browns Lane) 9.30 am to 6.30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays 29th/30th November, 6th/7th, 13th/14th and 20th/21st December.
Cllr Hampson, Charnwood Borough Council’s Lead Member for Economic Development and Regeneration said: ‘This programme has been put together by Charnwood Borough Council and their retail partners in the Town Centre Partnership for your enjoyment. Leaflets including details of all events across the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ programme can be obtained from the Town Hall, Charnwood Borough Council, and from several shops in the Town Centre.”
