Have A “Love-Ly” Time at the Valentine’s Day Markets
Date of Release: Fri 29th January, 2010
“Heart-y” grub and “love-ly” gifts will be available at upcoming Loughborough markets when they have a Valentine’s theme.
Heart shaped balloons will deck the Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, February 10 and Saturday’s retail market on February 13 in preparation of the most romantic day of the year.
Retailers at the Farmers’ Market plan to celebrate by selling themed goods. These include Brockleby’s Farm, which will be selling heart shaped pies (these sold out fast last year so get there early!), Melton Cheeseboard, which will have heart shaped cheeses, and Just Soaps, which be selling heart shaped red soap.
It is hoped that Blackbrook Traditional Meats, which is fairly new to the market, will even be selling heart shaped steaks!!
And, at the retail market, there will be the chance to buy last-minute gifts and cards for your loved one.
Peter Lewis, Lead Member for Culture and Leisure at Charnwood Borough Council, said: “Love will certainly be in the air at our markets thanks the temptations offered by our Valentine’s Day theme.
“Come on down and indulge yourself in that unique romantic atmosphere! Take every opportunity offered to look at delicious delicacies, food and flowers, chocolates and gifts, feel loved, be loved and recapture the rapture of giving and receiving. Buy and Enjoy!!”
In addition to the Valentine’s themed market, Friday, March 5 will see the return of the Bric-a-brac market following a winter break.
The market sells a range of goods and collectables.
