Type of Funding
Funding & support for new initiatives, activities & projects which encompass all areas of the arts.
Who may Apply?
Properly constituted groups and organisations seeking funding for projects which will benefit people who live within the boundaries of the Borough of Charnwood.
What does the Grant cover?
New initiatives, projects or activities which seek to promote involvement in arts, crafts and creative activity.
The Grants scheme delivers on the arts strategy and the scheme objectives are:
- Promote the involvement of all sections of the community in arts, crafts and creative activities.
- Create new opportunities for people to experience a broad range of arts activities, as participants and audience.
- Recognise the diversity of cultural backgrounds wihin the Borough, and develope the opportunities this presents.
- Use the arts and crafts to raise the profile of the Borough, building on its local history, Heritage and distinctiveness.
What are the limits on the Funding?
Grants are awarded on average for £500 or less. Other amounts will be considered if the project warrants it. Please note that funding applications cannot be considered retrospectively.
When can applications be made?
You are advised to make an application as soon as possible, and at least two months before your project starts. There is no closing date, applications will be accepted throughout the year.
What is the decision making process?
Applications will be considered at the first Grants Panel once assessments are completed.
