Art zone workshops give children aged 8-14 years an opportunity to experiment with new craft techniques and learn new art skills under the guidance of professional artists. Workshops are held every Saturday morning from 10:30am-12:30pm during school term times. Pre-booking is essential.
Workshops cost £5.00 per person including materials. Concessions £2.50 for families in receipt of certain means tested benefits.
All places must be paid for within 5 working days of booking. Please make cheques payable to Charnwood Borough Council. Contact the museum on 01509 233754 or email museum@charnwood.gov.uk for further details.

Saturday 21st April 2012- 'Edible Art' with Lindsey Warnes Carroll- Fusing art and food to make explosions of colour that looks as good as they taste
Saturday 28th April 2012- 'Stencils and Screens' with Leicester Print Workshop- Use stencils to screen print work with an 'Abstract' theme
Saturday 5th May 2012- 'Living Art' with Vanessa Rose- Life size art, be in your own painting
Saturday 12th May 2012- 'Get Inky' with Jo Sheppard- Draw squid and other sea creatures in this inky wash workshop
Saturday 19th May 2012- 'Building Bridges' with Chris Holt- Using card and other materials design and make a bridge
Saturday 26th May 2012- 'It's A Set Up' with Vanessa Rose- Transform Charnwood Museums Education Room into a stage set then pose for photos like actors in a play
