HAVE YOUR SAY ON COUNCIL’S SPENDING!

In January 2007, Charnwood residents were invited to join in a discussion on the Council’s spending for the next financial year (April 07-April 08).

Cllr Max Hunt, Leader, said: “We've already established that most people want high quality services at low cost for everyone, but we need to get behind the basics and find out where compromise and consensus lies on the difficult decisions and why. Generally we get a better understanding from discussions with smaller numbers of people."

Geoff Parker, Deputy Chief Executive of Charnwood Borough Council, added: “We would really appreciate your assistance with this. If you would like to contribute to discussions, which will shape the path Charnwood Borough Council will take over the next 12 months and beyond please get in touch.”

We held a series of discussion groups for residents in January at Charnwood Borough Council Offices, Southfields. There was also an online questionnaire on this page for residents to complete.
