Charnwood Sports Council

The Charnwood Sports Council's primary role is to make recommendations on grant funding on behalf of Charnwood Borough Council.

Grants are available in the following categories:

• Development Grants to help meet the initial costs of establishing a new club/section or to expand your clubs sporting programmes;
• Coach/Official Development Grants to help with the cost of getting volunteers qualified as sports coaches;
• Sports Facility Grants to help improve your facilities;
• Talent Support Fund to assist individuals in their pursuit of excellence.

A full list of conditions is available for each type of grant

Grants have been issued in the past ranging from £50 - £5,000.

Annual General Meeting Notification

The Charnwood Sports Council's Annual General Meeting is to be held on Monday 15th June 2009 in Committee Rooms 2 & 3 at Charnwood Borough Council Offices at 7.00 pm for the business as per the agenda.

To cut down the amount of paperwork sent to all clubs, the minutes from the last AGM, the financial statement for the year, the proposed constitution and paperwork related to the changes to the grant applications are available below. Paperwork will also be made available on the night.
