Charnwood Youth Council

Large[1]

Charnwood Youth Council is a diverse group of young people whose goals are to listen, value, support and act with other young people in the Charnwood area.

We empower young people across Charnwood to have a say and be heard.  The Youth Council meets every week at Charnwood Borough Council's offices in Loughborough.  We also often organise or attend events across the Borough.

Anyone can join the youth council between the ages of 11-19 years or up to 25 with special needs.

As a group we find it very important to cater for everybodies individual needs and as a group try to make all our members feel welcome.  We choose our leader every few months using an election system and have developed a star leadership structure to make sure everyone shares responsibility for achieving our Youth Council priorities.
