Community Safety Survey 2008

This survey used to be carried out every two years by the Charnwood Community Safety Partnership. It has since been replaced by a partnership survey "CRAVE" carried out by the Police and local authorities in Leicestershire and Rutland.

The Community Safety Partnership survey asked local people to tell us their views on a variety of topics including experiences of crime; how safe they felt in their community and about anti-social behaviour.

It also asked people about the community safety service role of the Council.

To gather in this information a postal survey was sent to households across the Borough (chosen at random). In 2008 1107 responded. Here are some of the things they said.

The results of this survey helped develop our Community Safety Strategy with our partners so that it focus on issues important to local people.
