Corporate Plan Consultation 2009

At the beginning of 2009 we asked you to Have your say on the draft version of our new look Corporate Plan for 2009-2012 which sets out our vision and plans for Charnwood over the next ten years.

Included in the plan were the Council’s immediate priorities to be delivered over the next three years and would form the foundation for long-term objectives.

There were a number of ways in which people could contribute:

• We held a series of exhibitions across the Borough during the consultation period when officers and members of the Council’s Cabinet answered questions.
• If people weren't able to attend one of these exhibitions they could give us their views by:
  • using the Feedback Form.
  • e-mailing us at consultation@charnwood.gov.uk or ;
  • calling us on (01509) 634 556.

The Council also considered the views of residents and partners in developing the Plan before it was drafted, drawing upon extensive consultation carried out during the preparation of the Sustainable Community Strategy.

The consultation began on Friday, January 2^nd and ended on Tuesday, February 10th 2009 and results are in the following document:

During this process we also gathered views on the budget as the corporate plan has a big influence on the money we spend as a Council and has taken into account budget restrictions due to the current economic climate.
