Council - Performance Management

The Performance Scrutiny Panel receives performance reports on a quarterly basis to allow it to monitor progress against targets which support the delivery of the Council’s objectives as set out in the Corporate Plan. When comparative data with similar Councils becomes available this is also presented to the Panel to assist in its decision making. The Performance Panel aims to be forward and outward looking and reviews performance through investigating how performance can be improved, for example by visiting councils where performance is better than at Charnwood. The quarterly report presents detailed performance results for the quarter and provides explanations and commentary in respect of poor performance or non-achievement of targets, and details of remedial actions being taken where appropriate. The Panel has the option to use the performance information to suggest new items for the scrutiny work programme to the Scrutiny Management Board. The lastest report can be found below in related documents.

If you would like further information in relation to the performance of Charnwood Borough Council please contact the Performance & Audit team using the contact details below.
