The Post Office network is the largest retail branch network in the UK and PayPoint outlets are usually located in convenience stores and service stations.

PayPoint LogoMake a payment

Present your bill or invoice to any Post Office or PayPoint outlet, along with your payment. You will need to know the amount you wish to pay, as the staff at these locations will not have access to your account details

Once your payment has been processed you will issued with a receipt, which you should keep in a safe place to help you keep track of your payments.

Post Office LogoCash payments can be made for free at all PayPoint outlets, though some debit cards may be charged. Post Offices allow you to pay by cash, cheque or debit card for free.

Cash payments cannot be made at our offices. Please do not send cash through the post as it is not secure.

  • Housing rent payments via standing order should be prefixed 73 followed by your 8 digit Tenancy Reference number

This is important as we may experience difficulty in crediting your account without the correct account or invoice number. Please allow up to ten working days for your payments to reach us.

For Planning payments you must quote the Planning Application or Planning Portal reference number. You should also email a remittance advice to income@charnwood.gov.uk including your name and planning application details (including site address) as we may experience difficulty in applying your payment to your application without this.
