Council Tax

Ways to Pay Your Council Tax

Direct Debit

Council Tax is payable over 10 instalments in a full financial year, normally payable from April to January. Arrangements can be made to pay by one annual instalment, two half-yearly instalments or monthly by direct debit.

To set up a Direct Debit to pay your Council Tax you may contact the Council Tax team using the telephone number shown on the front of your bill or by calling 01509 634868. Make sure you have your bank account details (name, sort code and account number) with you and that you are a sole signatory on the account. Alternately complete a Direct Debit instruction, either the one enclosed with your bill or by clicking on the link below to print a copy. Send the completed form to the Council Tax team. Once the Direct Debit has been added to your account you will receive a new Council Tax bill showing the change in your method of payment.
