The Planning Service prepares the Council's overall planning policies to guide development in the borough. These policies are then implemented when decisions are made on planning applications.

In this section of the website you can find out about where new homes and industry will be built under the Local Plan or Local Development Framework (Charnwood 2026) view details on all current and historic planning applications within the borough, and send us your comments on planning issues.
