Shopmobility
SHOPMOBILITY is a scheme for people who have limited mobility. They can borrow scooters, powered wheelchairs or manual wheelchairs, to enable them to do shopping or to use other facilities in Loughborough town centre. For more information visit the Council's Shopmobility Services web page

National Bus Scheme
Under the National scheme eligible disabled people are entitled to apply for a travel card offering free off-peak bus travel between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and at all times on weekends and bank holidays, on all local buses anywhere in England. Support Services for the Elderly, Disabled & Vulnerable
This service is provided by Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing (CNH) to enable elderly, disabled and vulnerable people to maintain an independent lifestyle with the added security of 24hours/day response and assistance with problems and emergencies. Home Adaptations
An adaptation is an alteration that will help you or a member of your household live as independently as possible. Adapting your home can be a complex and difficult procedure. However, advice is available for Council Tenants on the Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing website and the Council may be able to assist with the cost of funding the work with a disabled facilities grant.

Assistance with Waste Collection Services
Those who are physically unable to move a wheeled bin to the designated collection area can access an assisted waste collection service.
