Don't Muck Around Awards 2012

About the Awards
Charnwood Borough Council and Its Waste Management Partner Serco Invite You to Enter the First-Ever Don’t Muck Around Environmental Awards.
The Awards aim to recognise the efforts of Charnwood residents and businesses for helping to improve the environment.
All shortlisted nominees will be invited to a special awards ceremony to be held at the Radmoor Centre at Loughborough College in June.
The Categories
The categories are detailed below:
.
- Schools and Young People - best environmental initiative
- Community - making a difference to the quality of the local environment
- Innovation - best innovative or creative solution to protect or enhance the environment
- Business - best commercial initiative which has benefitted the wider community
- Overall winner from the shortlisted nominees
The Awards have been named after the Council’s flagship Don’t Muck Around environmental campaign which last year helped to reduce incidents of dog fouling, fly-tipping and litter.
We are looking for nominations from every corner of the borough – no matter how big or small.
It could be that you and a neighbour hung hanging baskets, your group has organised a litter pick or you could be a business that has significantly reduced its carbon footprint.
These are just some examples - but any project that improves the environment could be entered.
The deadline for entries has been extended to noon on Monday, April 30th, 2012. For more information, please call Nicky Gibson on 01509 634576 or email Nicola.gibson@charnwood.gov.uk.
