Eastern Gateway Consultation November 2008

We are currently consulting with local residents about the redevelopment of Loughborough's Eastern Gateway.
At the end of November we will be formally submitting our plans for the development and we wanted to give local people a chance to view the proposals and have their say. The plans include the new link road from Meadow Lane to Nottingham Road and new housing to the rear of Burder Street. It also includes information about future traffic management and residents' parking in the Ratcliffe Rd / Burder Street area.
If you want to take part we will be holding public exhibitions between 10am and 3pm on Saturday 1st November and Saturday 8th November in Glebe Street. Ready to answer your questions at these events will be officers from the Borough and County Councils as well as representatives of Nottingham Community Housing Association, William Davis, Franklin Ellis Architects (who have designed the housing) and Scott Wilson (who have designed the road).
We will also be hosting a "by invitation"meeting for members of the town team, the local residents group (SPARA) and groups representing the various transport interests at the Council Offices on Thursday 6th November between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
If you are unable to attend these events but would like more information about the proposals and then have your say please e-mail us at consultation@charnwood.gov.ukor call 01509 634720.
