Have you got what it takes to be a parish councillor?
In May 2007 people will be voting for who represents them on the parish councils in Charnwood. Find out if it's a job you could do on our parish councils web pages.

If you want to stand in the 3 May local elections as a parish councillor, you will need to complete, sign and return a set of forms by 12 noon on Wednesday 4 April. A timetable, guidance and the necessary forms can all be download here. A brief summary of what each form is for, and who needs to sign it, is also given below.

How to get Nominated

  1. Download and print the relevant forms below.
  2. Complete the necessary forms, making sure you get the relevant names and signatures required.
  3. All Nomination paperwork can be brought to Reception at Southfields Council Offices from 23rd March 2007 but must be delivered no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 4 April 2007.
  4. Don't leave it until the last minute in case we have any queries with your nomination.
