Have you got what it takes to be a parish councillor?
In May 2007 people will be voting for who represents them on the parish councils in Charnwood. Find out if it's a job you could do on our parish councils web pages.
If you want to stand in the 3 May local elections as a parish councillor, you will need to complete, sign and return a set of forms by 12 noon on Wednesday 4 April. A timetable, guidance and the necessary forms can all be download here. A brief summary of what each form is for, and who needs to sign it, is also given below.

How to get Nominated
- Download and print the relevant forms below.
- Complete the necessary forms, making sure you get the relevant names and signatures required.
- All Nomination paperwork can be brought to Reception at Southfields Council Offices from 23rd March 2007 but must be delivered no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 4 April 2007.
- Don't leave it until the last minute in case we have any queries with your nomination.

Must have the full name & address of the candidate, the parish or parish ward they're standing in, plus the signatures of a proposer and seconder who must be on the Electoral Register in the parish or parish ward the candidate is standing for.
