Employment Land Studies

SUE Housing and Employment Land Study

This study was commissioned by Prospect Leicester Shire in partnership with the Council’s that make up the Housing Market Area of Leicester and Leicestershire. The study should be read alongside the Leicester and Leicestershire Employment Land Study (PACEC and Warwick Business Management Ltd, December 2008). It seeks to provide further evidence of the functional link between housing and employment within sustainable urban extensions and will assist in decisions about the allocation of land for employment in future planning documents.

Charnwood Borough Council worked with Leicester Shire Economic Partnership and other Local Authorities to undertake a Leicester and Leicestershire Housing Market Area Employment Land Study. Leicester Shire Economic Partnership commissioned PACEC to undertake the study, which is available to download below:

Charnwood Employment Land Study

The study was commissioned in 2005 by Leicestershire County Council, on behalf of the Leicester Shire Economic Partnership and its partners, including Charnwood Borough Council, to assess the balance of demand and supply for employment land in Charnwood Borough and draw the implications for policy, informing the Borough’s emerging Local Development Framework.

Science Park Study

This Study commenced in 1999 by a consortium of Leicestershire local authorities and Leicestershire TEC considers the demand for and feasibility of establishing further Science Parks in Leicestershire.
