Equality and Diversity
The Borough is made up of diverse community with a range of physical, cultural, and social needs. We are old and young, urban and rural, black and white, permanent and transient. Fair treatment and equal access to the Council's services and employment matters to everyone.
Charnwood Borough Council recognises it has a significant role on equality and diversity, not just in the make up of our staff but in ensuring everyone is treated with respect. This is right in itself. Improving equality and building sustainable cohesive and active communities is at the heart of successful delivery for all of our objectives - in providing decent homes and neighbourhoods,a clean, safe and healthy environment,a sustainable environment, leisure and cultural opportunities for all and in ensuring an economically prosperous environment.
