Food Safety Awards
We have realised that premises who have an excellent food safety and hygiene record need to be recognised and so we have set up a Food Safety Award Scheme.
Food businesses are assessed by environmental health officers during routine food hygiene inspections. Those with excellent standards are awarded certificates for public display

Re-assesment of the award is carried out at each routine inspection and the award will continue, providing the business continues to reach excellent standards following each inspection. Silver winners can be upgraded when standards improve further - but awards can also be withdrawn if businesses fail to maintain their good performance.
