Home Safety Grant

Home Safety Grants
Home Safety Grants have been developed to assist low income applicants (either house owners or qualifying tenants but not landlords) to carry out specific essential work to their home. Applicants must be over 18 and have a valid National Insurance Number. Applicants should also have been resident in the property for at least twelve months unless otherwise stated.
All grants are subject to detailed conditions and definitions and are awarded on a discretionary basis. Please refer to the guidance notes or full Policy or you can contact us on the number below.

How to Apply
If you qualify for a Home Safety Grant, you should contact us yourself or agree to be referred to us by an outside organisation. You will be required to complete a short application form and will need to supply proof of your benefit.
Please note that due to current budget commitment levels, we are unable to accept new Structural Repair grant enquiries at this time. If, however, you have concerns about conditions in your home that pose an imminent risk to your health and/or safety, then please contact the Private Sector Housing Team for further information.
