If you are receiving income Support, Guaranteed Pension Credit, Employment Support Allowance (Income Related) or Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based) you may get all of your rent or Council Tax paid (subject to the information detailed previously). If you are not receiving any of these benefits we will work out your entitlement according to the circumstances of your household and your weekly income. The lower your income and greater your assessment needs the more benefit you may receive.

NOTE: Deductions may be applied to your entitlement based on Non-Dependants, Rent and Council Tax restrictions.

The minimum amount of Housing Benefit payable is 50p per week. This means if you qualify for less than 50p per week no benefit will be paid.There is no minimum amount for Council Tax Benefit.
