How much will I be paid?
Housing Benefit cannot pay some parts of your rent such as water rates, laundry, fuel and hot water. Discretionary Housing Payments cannot be paid for these items either.
The highest amount you can receive is the difference between your benefit and eligible rent or council tax. The award will be made on a weekly basis but may not meet all of the difference.
