The Charnwood Local Plan will set out our planning policies and proposals to guide future development in the Borough. It will be made up of a number of documents that will outline our policies for meeting the community's economic, environmental and social needs over the next 15 years or so.

New Local Plan Website: We have now launched a new dedicated Local Plan website which will keep people updated on the development of the Council’s Local Plan. Information and details on the up-coming Core Strategy consultation can be found on the new website. The new website can be viewed at http://localplan.charnwood.gov.uk
Core Strategy Update: The Pre-Submission Draft Core Strategy was considered by Cabinet on 11th April 2013 and approved for consultation. More details about the consultation will be available here shortly.
Annual Monitoring Report: The Annual Monitoring Report for the Local Plan is now available. Read more about the Annual Monitoring Report here.
Legal Advice: Legal advice on the suitability of Wymeswold Airfield to accommodate future residential development as part of the Borough Council’s emerging Core Strategy is now available to view. Read the legal advice here.
