Consultation on East Midlands Gateway Strategic Rail Freight Interchange - A consultation is being undertaken by Roxhill (Kegworth) Limited on a proposal for a rail freight interchange (including warehousing) and highways works on land in the vicinity of Junction 24 of the M1 and north of East Midlands Airport. The development is within the administrative area of North West Leicestershire District Council but because the proposal is classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project the application will be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for a Development Consent Order under procedures contained in The Planning Act 2008.
Please note that the consultation is not being administered or determined by Charnwood Borough Council and all responses should be made via one of the methods set out on the consultation page of the website which can be viewed here.
The deadline for responses is the 27th June 2014.
Core Strategy Examination in Public. The Charnwood Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State on the 20th December 2013 for Independent Examination.
