CONSULTATION ON LOCAL PLANNING APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

In March - April 2008 Local authorities across Leicestershire & Rutland joined together to consult on a Local List of Planning Application Requirements.
A National List has been established which is a legal requirement for all applications to meet after the 6 April 2008. Associated with this it is proposed that all authorities formally adopt a Local List of requirements. CHARNWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL formally adopted a local list following consultation and these requirements are now statutorily required for any submitted applications in addition to the National List.
When a submitted application does not meet the requirements set out in both the National and Local List it will be considered to be invalid. Both of these lists and the comments received during the consultation can be viewed below.
