Uk Parliament

The Borough of Charnwood is included in the Charnwood and Loughborough Parliamentary Constituencies. Its two MPs are:

• Stephen Dorrell, Member of Parliament for Charnwood
• Nicky Morgan, Member of Parliament for Loughborough

The Charnwood Constituency includes Anstey, the forest villages such as Newtown Linford, Rothley, Mountsorrel, Birstall, Syston, Seagrave and Queniborough and a small area of Blaby District

The Loughborough Contituency includes Loughborough, Shepshed, Hathern, Quorn, Sileby, Barrow Upon Soar and the Wolds Villages.

European Parliament

For the purposes of the European Parliament, Charnwood is included in the East Midlands Region. The region elects five MEPs, who are currently:

• Bill Newton Dunn, MEP
