Mind, the leading mental health charity is opening a furniture shop in Syston, and would welcome donations of re-usable furniture and electrical items. Mind will also undertake house clearances. For more information, or to book a collection, please call 0116 2780865.

Please put the white Mind sack out next to the green recycling box on your recycling collection day. It will be taken away by the Serco crews, who will also leave you with a replacement bag. If you require additional Mind bags please click here for further information

Mind is the leading mental health charity for England and Wales, and they campaign vigorously to create a society that promotes good mental health for all; a society where people with experience of mental distress are treated fairly, positively and with respect.

Mind operates 108 charity shops throughout England and Wales, 15 of which are in the Midlands region.

By working in partnership with Charnwood Borough Council, Mind will increase their stocks of re-saleable textiles, as Charnwood Borough Council will donate all the textiles collected from the kerbside to this good cause. When materials are collected from the kerbside of residential properties in Charnwood, they will be taken to the Mind warehouse in Blaby, where the items are sorted by a volunteer team and distributed to the shops in the region.
