Naming of Buildings

The Council does not have any statutory power over the provision of new names to individual properties and owners are generally free to assign whatever names they wish.

Changes to existing names may, however, have implications for identifying properties on the Council's Local Land and Property Gazetteer. You are asked therefore to notify streetnaming.numbering@charnwood.gov.uk of any revised property name for recording purposes only.
