New Way to Pay Your Council Bills

PLEASE NOTE: The Cashiers desk at the Council Offices closed on 30th April 2009. Cash payments are no longer accepted at the Council offices. Please do not send cash through the post as it is not secure.
In 2009 Charnwood Borough Council joined forces with Allpay, issuing barcoded bills which can be paid at any Post Office or PayPoint across the UK, enabling payments to be made at a time and place that's convenient for customers.
Bills such as Council Tax, Business Rates and other council invoices now have barcodes printed on them. There are over 50 places across the Borough (and over 32000 outlets nationwide) where customers can pay their Council bills.
Cash payments can be made for free at any of these locations and the Post Offices also accept payments by cheque or debit card for free as well. These outlets will often be more accessible and closer to home than the Council offices in central Loughborough were. Many will also be open outside of traditional office hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, and so can offer customers greater freedom of when as well as where to pay.
In the first 6 months since the Cash Office closed nearly 50000 payments have been made using Allpay.
