NLIS (National Land Information Service)

Charnwood Borough Council is now linked to the National Land Information Service (NLIS). LLC1 and CON29 searches can be submitted to the Local Land Charges using this service. Charnwood’s Land Charges service is at Level 3 of NLIS which means that applications can be submitted and returned electronically that in turn speeds up the process of a search.

How Long Does a Local Land Charge Search Take?

We aim to reply to standard searches in 10 working days or less, however we usually return a lot sooner, the average turnaround time being about 5 working days.

What Is Your Fee for a Local Land Charge Search and When Will It Increase?

The current standard search fee is £104.00. The fee is reviewed on the 1st April of each year.
