Leisure, Arts and Tourism

We are currently carrying out a study to find out whether the current level of open space, sport and recreation facilities in Charnwood is sufficient in terms of quality, quantity and accessibility. In other words, does it meet the needs of local people?

The findings of this study will be used to influence decisions on how and where your money will be spent on local open spaces, sport and recreation facilities.

To make sure that we provide services that meet your needs and those of other local people we need to know your views and ideas. All you need to do is complete our online survey.

Even if you don’t use open spaces or indoor sports facilities we are keen to hear your views .

  • Residents Survey - A survey for anyone who lives in the Borough of Charnwood.
  • Stakeholders Survey - A Survey for public, voluntary and community organisations in the Borough of Charnwood

As well as consulting with Residents and local organisations we will also be consulting with local sports clubs and schools. We will be writing directly to these clubs and schools, asking them to complete separate surveys and tell us their views on this issue.

Please submit your completed survey by Friday 29th May. The results of this consultation including what people have said and what we have done as a result with be published as soon as they are available on this website and in the local media.

If you would any other information about this consultation please e-mail us at consultation@charnwood.gov.uk

We would really appreciate your involvement in this important study.
