Giro Credits

Pay at any bank or post office operating GIROBANK. The Council's Giro Account Number is 4437802 (please note a fee may be charged). Please include on your payment slip any reference number (i.e. account number, invoice number) and the address as shown on your bill, invoice or notice.

Payment books and Bank giro credit instalment slips are no longer available for Council Tax and Business Rates – these have been replaced by the new barcoded bills.

Where a Giro Credit Slip is provided you can use this method to pay for the following:

  • Council Mortgage
  • Miscellaneous Sundry Debtor Invoices (including Garden Waste Scheme)
  • Housing Benefit Overpayment
  • Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing Invoices

You can use this method to pay for the following:
