The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) has produced in depth guidance for outdoor catering events. We would advise you to consult the document before you carry out any outdoor catering.

It is also advised that you consult the Event Safety Guide HSG195  produced by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) which is free to download which contains very useful information on running an outdoor event safely.  We want to ensure that your event is run in a safe manner using sensible risk assessment.  Health and safety laws are there to protect people and to ensure that everyone has a good time without any accidents.

The Home Office has also produced guidance for small events taking place on highway, roads and public places which may be of interest to you
