Pride of Charnwood Awards
These awards were organised by Charnwood Youth Council with the support of Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council Youth Service. The awards aim to give positive recognition to young people who volunteer their time, effort and energy to improve the quality of life in Charnwood.

MORE than 120 people packed Loughborough’s Link Hotel for the inaugural Pride of Charnwood Awards which were set up to praise the positive impact of young people in the Borough.
There were four award winners and four runners up as well as the overall Pride of Charnwood Award winner.
The Factory Young Asian Men’s Group won the overall Pride of Charnwood Award for raising money and awareness, peer education and teaching others about different cultures.
This amazing ceremony was a chance for the Borough to recognise and praise the mountain of good work young people do.
