Local Land Charges – Search Fees as from 1st April 2009

Standard Search fee: £104.00

Covers search enquiries submitted on LLC1 and Con 29 forms for one unit of property or parcel of land. The fee for more than one property or parcel of land is £13.00 for each additional.

NLIS Standard Search fee: £104.00

Covers search enquiries submitted on LLC1 and Con 29 forms via the NLIS Hub for one unit of Property or parcel of land. The fee for more than one property or parcel of land is £13.00 for each additional.

Optional enquiries fee: £10.00 for each enquiry except Common Land £15.00

Optional enquiries are to be requested when submitting the basic search.

Additional enquiries fee: £15.00 for each enquiry.

Requisition for Search (LLC1) only: £27.00

Covers Search enquiries submitted on LLC1 for one unit of property or parcel of land. The fee for more than one property or parcel of land is a £1.00 for each additional.

Covers search enquiries submitted on LLC1 via the NLIS Hub for one unit of property or parcel of land. The fee for more than one property or parcel of land is a £1.00 for each additional.

Personal Search fee: £11.00 (From the 1st January 2010 increased to £22.00)

Covers a personal search for one unit of property or parcel of land. The fee for more than one property or parcel of land is a £1.00 for each additional.

The increased fee becomes payable from the 1st January 2010 as stated in the amendment to the Local Land Charges Rules 1977 by substituting in schedule 3 (fees) an increased fee of £22.00 for a personal search in the whole or in part of the register in respect of one parcel of land.

Refresher search

Refresher service is only available if an original full search was completed. It is valid up to 6 months from the date of original search and is free of charge. A request form for this service is available above under related documents.
