Service Centre Capacity Assessment

The Service Centre Capacity Assessment, published in December 2011, assesses the capacity of services and facilities in the Service Centres and it will be used to inform the Local Development Framework Core Strategy and help guide decisions about where development goes in some of the towns and villages within the borough.  The Service Centre Capacity Assessment and Plans are available to download below:

Settlement Hierarchy Assessment

The Council has undertaken assessments of the villages in Charnwood to inform the Settlement Hierarchy that will be included in the Local Development Framework Core Strategy. The studies consider the availability and accessibility of services and facilities, settlement size and function and the geographical distribution of settlements and interactions between them.
